You'd be surprised. No, really. A seemingly simple project (in most people's eyes, but then again, Tom and I are not most people....), what should have taken 15 minutes TOPS took us from 8-11pm last night, even with the help of our handy neighbors, Kay and Jayme. (By they way, they are the ones under the sink. Tom and I don't see ourselves fit to touch anything that has to do with plumbing, as we both fear doing so would certainly result in the flooding of our home....)
At any rate, by the time 11 rolled around we were all pretty much slap-happy, and found ourselves laughing at just about everything, including the bulldogs insistence on coming into the kitchen to offer if not help, a bit of support. Take a look:
Here are Rosie and Mimi looking for the wrench Jayme just requested. It was hear just a minute ago.....
Rosie moves in for a closer look, and realizes that Jayme is about to make a huge mistake and draw this thing out even longer......
By this time, it is 10:50, Rosie's had enough and she wants to go to bed. She knows she has no choice but to step in and walk Jayme through the rest of the installation if there is any hope of making it upstairs before 12 bells.
Success at last! Papa Tom is obviously celebrating in the end zone, while poor Rosie just sits patiently, muttering to herself that if we had only asked her sooner, we'd ALL be in bed by now!
