"Hi. My name is Christy, and I am a hopeless bulldog-lover."
"Hi, Christy......"
Bulldogs are truly an addiction. Once you get one, you just get hooked. When my husband Tom and I purchased our first Bulldog nearly two years ago, we never expected a breed of dog to become our lifestyle--nor did we expect to be just about to acquire bully #3! (More about that in another post!) When we first became involved with the breed, we heard from more than one owner that Bulldogs are like potato chips: you can't have just one. Nothing could be closer to the truth!
Once you have been loved by a bulldog, you will be hard-pressed to find another breed more loving, loyal, sweet-tempered and adorably stubborn. Give them an inch and they will take a mile for sure--but never without looking at you first with those utterly adoring, placid eyes.
Tom and I wanted to start this blog as a space to record and discuss anything and everything bulldog. As any bulldog owner will tell you, few things are more favorite topic of conversation to us than our dogs. Next to each other and our kids, our dogs take a key spot at the center of our lives, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Since taking the leap into the bulldog world, Tom and I have also found that being involved with the breed has also given us more than just a pack of cute canines. We have had some of the most wonderful people become a part of our lives through bulldog clubs, events, shows and forums. We feel so lucky to have the people we have met through our dogs are a part of our lives...many of whom we never would have come to know if it weren't for the love of a dog.
We hope that this blog can become a source of information and a place where people can come together to read, laugh, share stories and ideas. If you love bulldogs, respect the breed and realize the importance of bulldog rescue, you belong here. If you are a newbie (as we all were, once), and interested in learning more about the breed or have questions before diving into the deep end of bulldog ownership, you belong here, too. Our blog is open to anyone who feels they can learn from it or contribute to it, so please take this as a personal invitation to come back often and become a member of our community.
We are so looking forward to becoming a presence on the web, and we hope you can help us make this blog the source of open information about bulldogs that we hope it will be. Thanks for checking us out, and come back soon!!

:) Tom & Christy
